Music and audiovisuals with AI

With the aim of presenting a unique show, the 29th Costa Brava Jazz Festival will host the premiere of Kraken in Progressan innovative proposal that fuses artificial intelligence tools, a series of audiovisual projections and live music. Pere Álvaro and Albert Palahí they imagined through AI technology (with modeling created with 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and other digital tools) a kraken (a sea creature very present in Norse mythology) specific to the Formigues Islands, located in front of the Cap Roig area, in Calella de Palafrugell.

Starting from this imaginative creation, a monster with limbs similar to the instruments of jazz music, Paul Alvaro developed a series of audiovisual pieces and the Palamosí musician Marcel Prohias composed the music. The final result will be premiered on Thursday, from 8 pm with free entry, in the Can Genís patio. It will be one of the most groundbreaking proposals that have been seen in the history of the festival.
