The CMDCA (Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents) published, in an extra edition of the Official Gazette of Campo Grande, the list of 56 schools that will receive electronic ballot boxes to choose guardianship counselors. This is a voluntary vote, to choose 40 councilors and twice as many substitutes, to be held on October 1st.

The TRE/MS (Regional Electoral Court) made 120 electronic voting machines available for use in the Capital, 19 of which were contingency. For the entire State, the Judiciary body will make 540 ballot boxes available. Voting will be from 8am to 5pm, for voters registered with the Electoral Court for at least 90 days.

In this election, the number of locations was expanded in search of greater voter participation. In the election four years ago, only 3.4% attended, totaling 20,166 voters.

According to the publication, voters registered in the 8th Electoral Zone will have 13 places to vote, including neighborhoods on the way to São Paulo and also the districts of Três Barras and Anhadui. For the 35th Zone, which comprises the northern region and also districts, there will be nine locations. The 36th Zone, which includes neighborhoods such as Coronel Antonino and also the center, will have seven locations, such as Colégio Dom Bosco. For the 44th Zone there will be six locations; the 53rd will have 12 schools and the 54th Zone will have nine voting locations.

The publication also contains a list of candidates, the final publication of the list contained 112 selected candidates, with their full name and the number and name that will appear in the ballot box.

The elected councilors will undergo a course offered by the CMDCA on defending the rights of children and adolescents and will take office in January for a four-year term. Campo Grande has five councils, with five members each. Three others are expected to be implemented.

In compliance with the LGPD (General Data Protection Law), the report no longer publishes the access link to the edition of the Official Gazette, however, anyone who wants to research the document can simply go to the Capital City Hall website and access the extra edition of the Diogrande this Wednesday, the 13th.
