“The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea to Armenia Haba Niankoye (residence: Moscow) presented his credentials to the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturian.

Congratulating the ambassador on assuming the post, the president noted. “I hope that during your tenure, the relations between our two countries will reach a higher level based on common interests.

The African region (except for North Africa) is one of the directions with relatively new perspectives of our foreign policy. In recent years, Armenia has been trying to activate relations with African countries.”

Expressing his gratitude for the reception, the newly appointed ambassador noted that he will put all his efforts into starting and strengthening cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

During the meeting, issues of common interest in political, economic, cultural and other spheres were discussed. In this context, the promotion of political consultations between Armenia and Guinea was emphasized, which can become a favorable basis for the further development of cooperation in both economic, cultural, educational, business and other fields.

During the conversation, closer cooperation between the two countries in international platforms and organizations was emphasized, particularly within the framework of Francophonie.

Regional realities and the general situation were discussed at the meeting. In this regard, President Vahagn Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia’s positions and approaches are based on a sincere desire to achieve stable and lasting peace in the region and to have neighborly relations with its neighbors. Both sides emphasized that stable peace is in the interests of the region and all partner countries, which will guarantee the development of cooperation in all fields.”
