Representatives of the State Revenue Committee and the World Bank discussed through a video conference the possibilities of conducting risk analysis and identifying the tax shadow using artificial intelligence and machine learning, SRC informs.

During the video conference organized by the World Bank, Deputy Chairman of the RA SRC Mikael Pashayan presented the electronic management systems implemented in the SRC. He informed that the committee receives the information about the transactions carried out by economic entities exclusively electronically, without additional burdening the economic entities. In addition, there are data sharing schemes with other departments.

Mikael Pashayan presented clear examples of the results obtained by the application of the collected data analysis and machine learning components, which related to the interconnection of taxpayers, shadow detection and product traceability. He said that an analytical model with machine learning and artificial intelligence elements was developed in cooperation with the American University of Armenia on the basis of data from information bases, which enables to more effectively identify risky taxpayers and organize targeted control over them.

The participants of the conference highly appreciated the works carried out in the SRC in the mentioned directions.
