The anti-women attitude of the party is reflected in the work of the government: K. Sudhakaran | K Sudhakaran | CPM | Pinarayi Vijayan

by time news

Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC president K Sudhakaran MP has said that a new state committee has been formed to include those who have faced disciplinary action on allegations of sexual harassment, amid rising criticism at the CPM state convention that the attitude of male comrades towards women comrades is bad. He said that this shows the vulgarity of the CPM’s approach and policy towards women.

Women leaders, including Minister R Bindu, have complained that women are not getting justice in the CPM. The formation of the new committee proves that the party leadership will not take any of this at face value. The anti-feminist attitude of the party is also reflected in the functioning of the government. Police have been protecting CPM accused in several torture cases, including Valayar and Vadakara.

Pinarayi Vijayan, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Mohammad Riyaz are being treated like no other CPM leader. Mohammad Riyaz came to the 17-member secretariat under the special quota of son-in-law. P Jayarajan, a senior leader from Kannur, has been removed from the state secretariat. The Pinarayi government gave him a wooden chair on a khadi board. The conference saw the complete domination of Pinarayi Vijayan. Sudhakaran said that all those who raised their voices against the party had disappeared.
