The Armenian adult boxing championship started in Yerevan “Dinamo” gymnasium, which is attended by the strongest representatives of Armenia in leather gloves.
On the first day of the competition, the athletes of 56 kg, 60 kg, 64 kg, 69 kg and 81 kg weight categories entered the ring. Henrik Mokoyan of “Arabkir” sports school, Artur Movsisyan representing “Vladimir Yengibaryan” sports school and Erik Petrosyan of Dynamo celebrated victory in 56 kg weight class.
In the 60 kg weight category, Karen Tonakanyan celebrated a beautiful victory, who won over Zhora Hamazaryan, and Hayrik Nazaryan was strong in the fight with Artur Nersisyan. Hovhannes Bachkov from Gyumri defeated Vardan Hovhannisyan in the 64 kg weight category, and Gor Jevelikyan in the 69 kg category won over Vahram Grigoryan. Nikol Arutyunov, Mher Poghosyan, Arman Hovhikyan, Harutyun Avetisyan, Artyom Galstyan and Vazgen Shahverdyan celebrated their victory in the 81 kg weight class.
Tomorrow, March 19, the ring will be given to 56, 64, 75, and heavyweight boxers. Competitions start at 13:00. The press service of the Armenian Boxing Federation reported about it.
