He noted that this initiative is among the numerous projects and initiatives proposed by the Kingdom as part of South-South cooperation, which constitutes an essential component of Moroccan diplomacy carried out under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty the King.
Mr. Talbi El Alami, in this sense, highlighted the enormous potential of the countries of the South capable of promoting their economic development, citing as an example the rich mineral resources allowing the development of the technological and mechanical industries, in addition to the gas and oil.
These are also important assets in terms of renewable energy and agriculture, as well as the geographical position of these countries, he continued, emphasizing the importance of maritime routes for the international trade, food security and tourism.
The countries of the South also have significant human resources, whose beating heart is a youth aspiring to a better future and an improvement in their living conditions, noted Mr. Talbi El Alami, noting that the wealth and diversity of Cultures of these regional groupings remain among the factors that will contribute to their development.
Mr. Talbi El Alami called for taking advantage of this wealth in concrete projects, while addressing the challenges facing countries in the South, including insecurity, conflicts, illegal immigration, displacement and exile. , as well as the impacts of climate change and weak investment, capital and trade.
To meet these challenges, the Speaker of the House of Representatives considered it necessary to achieve integration between these countries, to take advantage of the opportunities available and to guarantee a conducive and attractive environment for investment and to promote culture entrepreneurial.
In another register, Mr. Talbi El Alami underlined the importance of integration between these geostrategic groupings, with full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries, while calling on them to unify to advocate their causes within international bodies.
This conference, placed under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, aims to debate the “role of national parliaments and regional and continental parliamentary unions in Africa, the Arab world and Latin America in the promotion of strategic partnerships and the achievement of integration and common development.
Organized at the initiative of the House of Advisors in collaboration with the Association of Senates, Shura and equivalent Councils of Africa and the Arab world and the South-South Dialogue Forum, this meeting is part of the support for the leadership of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the enlightened guidance of the Sovereign, in the launch of any development and solidarity initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation with the countries of the South.
