On Sunday, March 10, the award ceremony for the winners and prize-winners of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku took place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend.

Medals were awarded to representatives of men’s artistic gymnastics – in the vault, exercises on the pommel horse and horizontal bar, and representatives of women’s artistic gymnastics – in exercises on the beam and floor exercises.

Nazar Chepurny (Ukraine) climbed to the highest step of the podium in the vault, Wai Hong Shek (Hong Kong) took second place, and Harry Hepworth (Great Britain) took third place.

The awards were presented by the technical delegate of the International Gymnastics Federation, Andrew Tombs, the vice-president of the FIG Technical Committee for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Nehad Zayed, and the head of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Gymnastics at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports, Gurka Gancheva.

In the beam exercises, Qingying Zhang (China) won the gold medal, Kaoruko Takezawa (Japan) won the silver medal, and Nina Derval (Belgium) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by the technical delegate of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Kim Dowdell, the President of the Serbian Gymnastics Federation Sasha Velickovic, and the manager of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Shafiga Elchueva.

In the pommel horse exercises, athletes Chin Kai Lee (Chinese Taipei) and Stephen Nedoroshik (USA) shared first place, and Yu-Chan Shiao (Chinese Taipei) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by the President of the Technical Committee for Men’s Artistic Gymnastics FIG Artur Mitskevich, managers of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Mehman Aliyev and Elmira Lalaeva.

In the floor exercise, Charlize Mörz (Austria) won the gold medal, Yushan Ou (China) won the silver medal, and Kaylia Nemours (Algeria) won the bronze medal.

The awards were presented by the President of the Athletes’ Commission of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Aljaz Pegan, and managers of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) Victoria Abushova and Surkhay Garayev.

In the horizontal bar exercises, Robert Tvorogal (Lithuania) took first place, Arthur Mariano (Brazil) took second place, and Angel Barajas (Colombia) took third place.

The awards were presented by the President of the African Gymnastics Union, Ehab Amin Esavi, Director of the National Gymnastics Arena, Emil Mustafaev, and Competition Director, Ruslan Eyvazov.

It should be noted that the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup was held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on March 7-10. Representatives from 67 countries took part in the competition.
