At this time, Friday, the Common Authority of the Basketball Federation renewed its confidence in Hussein Al-Ameedi as President of the Basketball Federation after he acquired 76 votes.

The correspondent of the (INA) said that “the extraordinary assembly was held on the headquarters of the Iraqi Olympic Committee to forged a vote of confidence by the Common Meeting within the presence of (105) members,” noting that “the electoral course of passed off transparently and below the direct supervision of the Olympic Committee.”
He said that “99 members voted, whereas (7) others abstained from voting,” declaring that “the counting and sorting course of revealed that Hussein Al-Ameedi acquired (76) votes, whereas Kawa Faisal acquired (61) votes, and Khaled Najm acquired (61) votes.” (60) votes, Wasan Hanoun acquired (44) votes, Faez Adnan acquired (46) votes, Muhannad Abdel Sattar acquired (43) votes, Muhammad Saleh acquired (59) votes, Sadir Muhammad acquired (63) votes, Bilal Mawlud acquired (64) votes, and Faisal Ghazi acquired (60) votes. (58) votes.”
