Royal Challengers Bengaluru had to face a heavy defeat in the second match in a row despite bringing a huge number of stars to the team. RCB lost by 60 runs to Delhi Capitals in the first match and lost by nine wickets in the last match against Mumbai.
Many of the superstars who were brought into the team for good money faded in both the matches. In the match against Mumbai, captain Smriti Mandana was dismissed for 23 runs while Sophie Devine scored 16 runs and Alice Perry was dismissed for 13 runs. Disha Kasat and Heather Knight returned for zero.
After winning the toss and electing to bat, Mumbai overcame the target of 156 runs set by Royal Challengers with nine wickets and 34 balls to spare.
After this defeat, the fans are expressing their protest. The Royal Challengers men’s team has been disappointed in the last 15 years by Mandana and his team in just 1.5 matches, and Mumbai Indians’ success is due to not buying over-hyped players like Mandana.

Windies star all-rounder Hailey Mathews, who was brought to the Mumbai Indians team at a basic price, beat Mandana and his team the other day. Mathews, who showed his appreciation with the bat and the ball, had excited the fans.
Hailey took three leading wickets conceding 28 runs in four overs. Captain Smriti Mandana, Heather Knight and Richa Ghosh were returned by Hayley Mathews.
Apart from Hayley Mathews, Saika Ishaq was also on fire. The player took two wickets for 26 runs in four overs.
Hayley Mathews scored 77 runs from 38 balls after her bowling performance and sang the death dirge for Bengaluru at the Brabourne Stadium.
Hailey, who scored 124 runs from both the matches, holds the orange cap for the best run chaser. Saika Ishaq, who took six wickets, currently holds the purple cap.
After the first four matches of the season, the best batting performance belongs to Delhi Capitals superstar Shefali Verma. Shefali scored 84 runs in the match against RCB.
The best bowling performance is also from the Capitals line. Tara Norris’ five wickets for 29 runs in the Capitals-Royal Challengers match has been the best performance of the season so far.
