The political parties Nuestro Tiempo and Cambio Democrático face a cancellation process after not obtaining enough votes in the last legislative elections, as confirmed by TSE magistrate Guillermo Wellman.
«Among the causes for canceling a political party there are two important ones. First, that in the legislative elections they must have at least 50,000 votes obtained in the contest… The second reason is that they had obtained even one deputy out of the 60 that were in the electoral contest and neither of the two parties obtained deputies,” he explained. Wellman.
Nuestro Tiempo obtained a total of 41,060 votes, while Cambio Democratico only obtained 12,165 votes. Neither of them won seats in the Legislative Assembly.
