Bangladesh Film Censor Board has not screened a single movie in the last one month. Last on July 28, Tanveer Haasan’s movie ‘Madhyavitta’ got the clearance from the Censor Board. According to Censor Board sources, no other movie has been screened in Censor after that.
According to the source, only one movie has been submitted to the Censor Board in the last one month. On August 1, the movie ‘Bhoyal’ directed by Biplab Haider was submitted to the Censor Board.
When the interim government was formed after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in the students’ uprising on August 5, reshuffles began in various institutions of the various ministries of the government.
It is heard that the Bangladesh Film Censor Board will be reorganized. The source said that such a directive may come from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting next week.
