The Central Bank has reviewed the operation procedure of self-service devices providing financial services. there has been a shift from rules-based regulation to principles-based regulation.
From now on, financial organizations can use self-service devices to provide all the financial operations allowed by their license, observing the principles set by the Central Bank.
These changes will enable consumers to use an expanded range of services offered through self-service devices around the clock and in accessible locations, without the need to visit branches of financial institutions.
Thus, with the changes, banks have been given the opportunity to install multi-functional self-service devices in other places outside the bank headquarters and branches.
Credit organizations and exchange points will be able to provide the services provided by their license with self-service devices.
Payment settlement organizations were allowed to provide cash disbursement services in cooperation with banks or other financial organizations, if the devices operated by payment settlement organizations have appropriate technical and software capabilities.
It is expected that the changes made will contribute to increasing access to financial services and expanding opportunities for the public to use financial services.
