The central bank has said that a national identity card is now sufficient for financial transactions in the UAE.
For those with a residence or work visa in the UAE, an ID card is sufficient at banks and financial institutions. The Central Bank passed the notification to banks, money exchanges and companies.
Following the unification of applications for visas and ID cards, the Federal Authority for Identity Citizenship, Customs and Port Security decided to provide training to typing center staff.
