On the night of this Wednesday, police personnel arrested the Colombian who stabbed a woman at dawn who had allowed him to stay a few days in her house.

According to the sources, Leonel Fabián Galviz (35) was wandering on the bicycle that he stole from the victim on Route 40 and Rodríguez, in Chimbas, at the time of being recognized and later detained to be housed at the 17th police station.

The act of extreme violence was recorded during the early hours of this Wednesday in a house in Santa Lucía, where a pregnant woman was attacked with a knife by Galviz. The victim is hospitalized in a “delicate state”, according to police sources.

The report made at the 5th Police Station indicates that everything happened around 1:30, inside a house in the Valle Pintado neighborhood.

The 26-year-old victim reported that since last Friday she would have allowed a man to stay at her home. However, in the last few hours the situation got out of control and, for investigative reasons, this subject attacked her with a knife.

Given the situation, the woman, who is 6 months pregnant and also lives with a 7-year-old child, was transferred to the Emergency Department of the Rawson Hospital. There, she is treated for multiple stab wounds in different areas of her body.

The CAVIG Prosecutor’s Office and personnel from the Criminal Division are involved in the case.
