We salute the bravery of our Defense and Security forces for the action taken in favor of the Gabonese people by avoiding a probable bloodbath at the electoral post where the first victims would have been young people and women.

This is why we women leaders of Gabon, members of organizations defending the rights of women workers in the consolidation of peace and social cohesion, are committed to supporting your vision set out in the transition charter.

However, we remain committed to the inclusive governance mentioned by you. We urge you to ensure women’s rights in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000 on Women, Peace and Security) and related resolutions.

• To include in the charter the inclusion of women, young people and people living with disabilities in all transition governance bodies;

• Focus on social governance.

On the basis of the foregoing, we women leaders of women’s rights organizations wish you unfailing success in your missions and reiterate our support for the voice of peace and development during the transition period.

May God watch over you and bless the Gabonese Nation.

Thank you.
