Let it be clear that this contract is part of the diversification of Bulgaria. This is what President Rumen Radev told journalists on the occasion of the contract with the Turkish company “Botash”, concluded during the time of the caretaker government appointed by him.
Yesterday in the parliament it was said that Bulgaria loses nearly BGN 1 million per day from the deal. Radev called on Bulgaria to start selling gas and use the reserved capacity under the contract. And he criticized PP-DB for concluding gas deals through intermediaries.
“There are two possibilities from now on for this contract. One is really for us to make it so that Bulgaria finally starts selling gas. This will not happen with the stupid gas contribution that PP-DB imposed, with which they totally discredited us in front of Europe and after which we will still have to restore confidence. Either they take up and finally take advantage of this contract, as reserved capacity that other countries do not have and start selling or if we do not have such ambitions and continue with the negativity – then let them review it “, the president noted.
