The cost of relaunching the Luna-25 mission could be about 4-5 billion rubles. This was stated to RIA Novosti by cosmonautics historian Alexander Zheleznyakov.
According to the expert, the cost of the previous launch of Luna-25 amounted to about 12.6 billion rubles. It will be cheaper to repeat the mission, since much has already been developed.
“I would say the figure is 4-5 billion,” said Zheleznyakov. He called his assessment rather rude.
The historian of astronautics believes that specialists will only need to correct mistakes. Overhead costs will be significantly less.
Recall that earlier the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, said that a copy of the apparatus could be prepared for launch in 2025-2026.
