jpnn.com – LUSAIL – Marc Marquez was the fastest racer in free practice or FP2 MotoGP Qatar at the Lusail International Circuit, Saturday (9/3) early morning WIB.

This session was originally intended to be Practice, with the Top 10 graduating straight into the main Q2 qualifier.

However, due to rainfall and a wet track, Practice was moved to Saturday afternoon WIB, while FP2 was early this morning.

FP2 got off to a slow start, but all the riders eventually hit the circuit.

Marc Marquez (Gresini Racing MotoGP) ended the fastest session by recording a time of two minutes 6.544 seconds in difficult conditions.

Behind Marquez were two Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 riders driven by Augusto Fernandez and Pedro Acosta.

The defending champion and runner up in MotoGP last season, Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, respectively ended this wet FP2 in 12th and 18th place.

The time records in FP1 and FP2 do not yet determine whether a racer can go straight into the main qualification (Q2) or whether they have to play Q1.

Due to rainfall and a wet track, Qatar MotoGP Practice was moved to Saturday afternoon WIB, while FP2 was early this morning.
