The transport manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-24, with three crew members, including TASS cosmonaut-special correspondent Oleg Kononenko, will perform its flight in an ultra-short two-orbit scheme. This was reported by the press service of Roscosmos, quoted by TASS.

According to the press service, the flight of the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft will take 3 hours and 14 minutes according to a two-turn scheme. The launch is scheduled for September 15 at 18:44:36.

The Deputy Head of the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yu.A. Gagarin, Roscosmos cosmonaut commander Oleg Kononenko, cosmonaut Nikolai Chub and NASA astronaut Laurel O’Hara. O’Hara will return to Earth in the spring of 2024 on the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft, while the Kononenko and Chub mission will last until September 2024, after which they will return to Earth on the Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft. As part of the annual expedition, Kononenko may become the first person to spend more than a thousand days in space.
