A day after the debate on the legality of his appointment as a minister, Aryeh Deri will serve as Prime Minister for a few hours tomorrow (Fri), due to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s obstinacy.

The Prime Minister’s Office updated that Netanyahu “will undergo a routine gastro examination tomorrow (Friday). The examination will be conducted in partial darkness for a short time. During the examination, Minister Aryeh Deri will fill his place, in accordance with the coalition agreements.”

Deri’s appointment as replacement prime minister comes hours after the hearing in the Supreme Court in an expanded composition on the two issues dealing with his appointment. The first is the “reasonableness test”, whether a person convicted of a tax offense (and previous offenses that have been deleted) can serve as a kosher minister, and the second discussion regarding “Deri’s law” which is actually a ‘personal’ law and legislated only for him.

The judges of the Supreme Court will give the verdict early next week.

Aware of the disturbance to the neighbors on Gaza Street

In the meantime, the Prime Minister’s Office updated the residents of Rehavia, who are suffering from increased security around Netanyahu’s house on the main street of the neighborhood, about the traffic disturbances.

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directed the security forces to make every effort not to harm the lifestyle of his neighbors in Jerusalem. It should be noted that Prime Minister Netanyahu would have moved his residence from his apartment on Gaza Street to the official residence in Balfour, but unfortunately, amazingly, the Lapid and Bennett government did not “We have been talking for a year and a half to use the residence in Balfour, the interior of which has been completely evacuated, and nothing has been done to prepare it for living,” the statement said.
