An allegation of the death of a young man named Hazrat Ali (24) has been received due to stab wounds in Gawai Bazar area of Dakshinkhan of the capital. He worked in a factory in Uttara Azampur.
This incident happened on Monday (April 29) around 9:30 am. Later, he was first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital with serious injuries, from where he was brought to Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital in the afternoon for better treatment, where he died while undergoing treatment.
The deceased Hazrat Ali is the son of mason Abdur Rashid of Chaudar village of Phulbaria police station in Mymensingh. At present Kalil lived with his family in a rented house in Box Road area of Gawai.
Hazrat Ali’s elder brother Md. Asadul Zaman said, today around 10 o’clock in the morning, I came to know that Hazrat Salim was stabbed and seriously injured by a stray named Salim. After getting information, the speeder was rescued and first taken to Kurmitola General Hospital. Later, when he was brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, my brother died after noon while undergoing treatment.
He also said that I have come to know that the person named Salim is involved in drug dealing. My brother used to work in a mill in Azampur area. I don’t understand why they killed my brother. I want severe punishment for those who killed my brother.
Sub-inspector (SI) of Dakshinkhan police station said in this regard. Azharul Islam said, after receiving the news, we came to the morgue of Dhaka Medical Emergency Department this evening and identified the body of the young man. After the final report, the body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Morgue for post-mortem.
He also said that the reason why this young man was killed is being investigated. Whoever is involved in this incident will be brought to justice.
