The Government of Puebla reported that the accident on the highway Mexico-Tuxpan let six dead.
The afternoon of this April 4 the Secretary of the Interior of the state of Puebla detailed that the accident that occurred last Wednesday night on the Mexico-Tuxpan highway, near the municipality of Huauchinango, let six dead y 18 injured.
This authority detailed that four people lost their lives at the scene of the accident, while the remaining two – one under 2 years of age and one of 78 years– died in the hospital.

He added that the majority of the dead reside in the entities of Hidalgo and the Mexico state.
Regarding the injured, the Government of Puebla indicated that seven are receiving medical attention in the Huauchinango General Hospitalthree had to be transferred to Poblano Children’s Hospitalone to Zacatlán General Hospitala minor Cholula General Hospital -this one transferred by air-.
Four injured people have already been discharged due to improvement and the remaining two of the 18 injured are those who lost their lives in the accident.
Cause of the accident
The Secretary of the Interior of the Puebla entity stressed that possibly the serious accident was due to the fact that the trailer was circulating with the load at its maximum capacity, which is why the operator lost control of the box which collided with three private vehicles.

Elements of the National Guard, State Civil Protection, Red Cross, National Aid Radio Brigade y Xicotepec Firefighters who attended the emergency and helped with the rescue and debris removal efforts.
“The Ministry of the Interior regrets the incident and continues with coordinated work to help those affected, as well as the families of those who lost their lives in the accident,” the agency concluded in its statement on the events.
