MADRID, 26 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip has raised the death toll from the Israeli military offensive to almost 21,000 deaths and 55,000 injuries this Tuesday, after another 241 people have lost their lives in the last 24 hours.
Since the beginning of operations by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), 20,915 people have already been killed, while 54,918 have been injured, according to information provided by the Ministry, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
Gazan authorities have warned of increasing pressure on the Strip’s medical system, with the focus now on the Nasser hospital, located in the town of Khan Younis. They fear that the Israeli forces will repeat in this center the siege already carried out on other clinics in the north of the enclave.
Both the Government of Gaza and the UN have denounced an unprecedented humanitarian crisis since the beginning of the offensive launched by Israel in retaliation for the Hamas attacks, which left some 1,200 dead in Israeli territory on October 7.
