The delimitation process will be a complicated and long process, RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan announced in the National Assembly.

“There is a mutual understanding that the process will be carried out exclusively on the basis of documents of legal significance, we will work with maps, which are not pictures, but real topographical maps,” he said.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the 1975 map is a fragment of 22 pieces that must be thoroughly examined.

“There won’t be a meeting after which we come and announce that the delimitation process is over,” he said.

Grigoryan said that this time they have agreed with Azerbaijan to jointly establish a work order that will describe the institutional course of work.

“In the near future, we will include this work in the agenda of the government session, after which our meetings will be more institutional,” said Mher Grigoryan, adding that this time the issue of enclaves and exclaves was not discussed.

According to Grigoryan, it is difficult to say whether the issue of enclaves and exclaves has a legal basis.

“The work of the commissions consists in the fact that they should present to each other their perception, the legal documents that they possess and start discussing how legitimate this document is and how much it can serve as a basis in the delimitation process,” Grigoryan emphasized.
