Within the framework of the implementation process for a correct and informed transfer, the SLEP Licancabur team is deploying to the different educational establishments of Calama and the communes of the territory that includes this new institutionality, reporting on the stage of operation and subsequent transfer. of the educational service on January 1, 2024. On this occasion, the SLEP met with assistants, educational assistants, teachers and directors of the Republic of France School in the commune of Loína.

This Local Public Education Service must ensure the reinforcement of quality, continuous improvement and equity of the educational service, considering the needs of each educational community, characteristics of the students and particularities of the territory in which they are located, including the communes of Ollagüe, San Pedro de Atacama, Calama, Maria Elena and Tocopilla.

In this context, the executive director of SLEP Licancabur, José Martínez, stated that “collaborative work, in a network with schools and high schools in the territory, and also the installation of professional skills in the management and technical-pedagogical teams, is essential, since that the focus is purely educational. As a team, we will raise the territorial needs, incorporating them into the local strategic plan, promoting the educational projects of SLEP Licancabur”.

The Technical Pedagogical Chief of the Escuela Francia, Nury Vicuña, pointed out that “it is interesting because of the link that is made through the demystification of the transfer of support. From the team of the School Integration Program (PIE), the speech pathologist, Paulina Aravena expressed that “it is good to meet who will be the future administrators of our establishment, the doubts we had were all clarified and I am very happy, hoping that the good intentions and what was discussed during this day materialize. I think it’s super good that the new director has had experience in the classroom and that also makes him closer to us”.
