Offered by Deputy Chairman of the Central Intelligence Company of the Republic of Armenia, Nerses Yeritsyan, the parliament mentioned the draft regulation on ratifying the settlement “On the alternate of data within the subject of countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime and the financing of terrorism in the course of the transportation of money and (or) financial devices throughout the customs border of the Eurasian Financial Union”. :

The settlement was developed “On countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds obtained by legal means and the financing of terrorism in the course of the transportation of money and/or financial devices throughout the customs border of the Customs Union” in 2011. with a purpose to guarantee Article 6 of the December 19 settlement. The settlement was signed in 2021. on July 20.

The aim of the settlement is to extend the effectiveness of joint efforts within the subject of combating cash laundering and terrorist financing by defining the process for exchanging data included within the customs declaration between EAEU member states, in addition to the circumstances for utilizing and preserving such data.

The Settlement defines the process for making a request and offering the data of the events to the Settlement relating to receiving the data specified within the related declarations by the person in the course of the switch of money funds and/or financial devices, in addition to the grounds for refusing to offer the requested data.

The Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the Nationwide Meeting gave a constructive conclusion to the draft regulation.
