The Company Elèctrica Dharma with the cobla La Principal del Llobregat will kick off the 7th edition of the Amb So de Cobla de Palamós this Tuesday. The concert, which will take place at 10 p.m. in Plaça Josep Sarquella, will open an edition of the festival which, until next Saturday, August 5, presents a program that will unite the Cobla Meditarrània with Xavi Lozano, the Cobla Flama de Farners i Neus Mar, the Cobla Sant Jordi-Ciutat de Barcelona with Albert Guinovart and Montserrat Cases or Jazzwoman. Like every year, the festival also programs the Costa Brava Memorial Ricard Viladesau Sardanes Concert, which this year reaches its 23rd edition.
Coinciding with this year’s commemoration of its 50 years, the Dharma Electric Company will be in charge of starting this edition of the contest, with a show specially designed to accompany his extensive repertoire with the most characteristic and popular group element of Catalan culture, the cobla.

With So de Cobla will move this Wednesday night to the Patio de l’Escola la Vila with the 23rd Costa Brava Memorial Ricard Viladesau sardanes Concert, in which they will take part The Principal of La Bisbal and Els Montgrins. This concert is organized by the Sardanista Costa Brava Group in agreement with the Culture Area of Palamós City Council.
Thursday at 7 p.m. Plaça Catalunya will be the stage for Bufaterrània. Tubs & Cordsa family show that fuses the world of music for couplets with a wide range of instruments completely different from the usual ones and that will be in charge of Xavi Lozano and the Mediterranean Cobla. On the same day at 10pm in Plaça Josep Sarquella, La Flama de Farners will collaborate with the Havana singer Neus Mar.
Likewise, Amb So de Cobla proposes for Friday the concerts of Jordi Molina Quintet (at 7 p.m. in Plaça Josep Sarquella) and the collaboration between the pianists Albert Guinovart and Montserrat Houses and the Cobla Sant Jordi-City of Barcelona, which this year celebrates the 40th anniversary of its foundation.
The Valencian singer of urban music Jazzwomanaccompanied by Alba Careta (trumpet), Jordi Casas (tible) Gerard Montsech (tenor) and Alba Pujals (trombone), will close this edition of the festival, on Saturday at 10 p.m. in Plaça Josep Sarquella, with a mix of sounds that seeks to incorporate new audiences into Sardanística culture.
