The presidential elections demonstrated the unity of the Azerbaijani people.

As Day.Az reported on Thursday with reference to Trend, member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Valery Koliukh told reporters about this.

“At the presidential elections in Azerbaijan, the organization was at the highest level, the voter turnout was high. The uniqueness of these presidential elections for Azerbaijan is that elections were held throughout the country since the establishment of independence, including in Karabakh. Unity was demonstrated at the presidential elections Azerbaijani people. We wish prosperity to your state and the speedy restoration of Karabakh,” he emphasized.

It should be noted that early presidential elections were held in Azerbaijan on February 7.

The candidate from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Ilham Aliyev, self-nominated candidates Zahid Oruj and Fuad Aliyev, the candidate from the National Front Party, Razi Nurullayev, the candidate from the Great Creation Party, Fazil Mustafa, and the candidate from the Great Azerbaijan Party, Elshad Musayev, fought for the post of President. United Popular Front of Azerbaijan – Gudrat Hasanguliyev.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), Ilham Aliyev is leading the presidential elections in Azerbaijan with 92.05% of the votes after processing 93.35% of the ballots.

Zahid Oruj received 2.19% of the votes, Razi Nurullayev – 0.8%, Fazil Mustafa – 2%, Elshad Musaev – 0.67%, Gudrat Hasanguliyev – 1.76%, Fuad Aliyev – 0.53% of the votes.

According to the results of the exit poll conducted by the American organization “Oracle Advisory Group” together with the League for the Protection of Labor Rights of Citizens, 93.9 percent of voters voted for Ilham Aliyev.

According to the Center for Sociological Research LLC, 92.4% of voters voted for Ilham Aliyev.

According to the exit poll results of the Monitoring Center “Rəy”, 92.6 percent of voters voted for Ilham Aliyev.

For the first time in the history of independent Azerbaijan, elections covered the entire territory of the country, including lands liberated from occupation. 26 polling stations were created in the territories liberated from occupation.
