This March 3, the elections begin for the selection of the 44 mayors of the new distribution of the national territory and 20 positions for the deputies that will make up the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN).

The President of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Dora Martínez, reported that at this moment, thousands and thousands of people are working in the 1,595 voting centers nationwide to install the 8,562 Vote Receiving Boards, making a great effort. from the early hours of the morning.

“Let us keep in mind that those that were previously municipalities are now municipal districts and therefore the mayor and his municipal council in the new municipalities will be in charge of between two and six municipal districts,” said Dora Martínez.

Highlighting this March 3, public transportation will be free for the entire Salvadoran population who goes to their voting center to cast their vote.

“With the entire electoral apparatus in full swing throughout the country, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal symbolically inaugurates the elections for Parlacen deputies and municipal councils,” said the Presiding Magistrate.
