The situation in the banking sector and the outstanding financial performance of the Cooperative Bank of Epirus were discussed at the meeting of the Employees’ Association of the Cooperative Bank of Epirus (S.E.S.T.H.) with the president of the Federation of Bank Employees’ Organizations of Greece (O.T.O. E.) Georgios Mozios, in their meeting in Ioannina last Friday.
In the context of the meeting, the initiatives and movements of S.E.S.T.H. were specified, as well as the escalation of its actions, in order to claim the provision of extraordinary financial support from the Bank of Epirus to its employees, due to inflationary pressures and the explosion of precision over the past two years in the prices of basic goods and services.
Then the president of O.T.O.E. with a delegation of S.E.S.T.H. met with the authorized executive advisor of the Bank Vassilis Tsoukanelis, discussing both the course of the Bank and the relations with S.E.S.T.H. – Cooperative Bank of Epirus.
On the same day, the Board of Directors of S.E.S.T.H. met with the management of the Employees’ Association of the Agricultural Bank of Piraeus (S.E.T.A.P.) and the president of O.T.O.E., while on Saturday his delegation attended and welcomed the annual regular general assembly of the .E.T.A.P. which was held this year in Ioannina, in the presence of more than 300 bank employees from all over Greece. Apostolos Baltzoi noted the significant achievements of the Union over the years, highlighted the need for more general participation in collective employee processes, while he did not fail to mention the perennially important role of both the Employees’ Associations and the Federation in defending the interests of bank employees .
