The exchange rate of the euro exceeded 86 rubles during trading on the evening of January 5. This happened for the first time since September 21 last year, it follows from the data of the Moscow Exchange. The dollar rose above 76 rubles for the first time since April 22 last year.
At a maximum of 19.20 Moscow time, 86.02 rubles were given for the euro, while the weighted average exchange rate a day earlier was 84.83 rubles. During the trading day, the euro rose by one ruble. The dollar is traded at 76 rubles, growth per day – just over 60 kopecks. The weighted average exchange rate was RUB 75.16 the day before.
There are no economic reasons for the drawdown of the ruble against the dollar and euro. However, on January 5, the volume of trading, for example, in the euro-ruble pair on the Moscow Exchange amounted to 6,448.72 million rubles, which is 80% lower than the average for the last month, that is, the market is now in an extremely sensitive position. The rise in exchange rates is taking place against the background of the situation in Kazakhstan.
