The group’s activists Vegetable Futureknown for their public protests in places like the Congress of Deputies or the M30 recently, tried to become protagonists at the end of the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, corresponding to the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals.
It was running in the 82nd minute of the game, when several members of this organization tried to jump onto the pitch at the Santiago Bernabéu. His intention was to sneak into the field and reach, if they could, at least the goal. The result was much less repercussive. Despite his claims, only one of the activists crossed the last billboard who, in his own words, “crawls like a turtle”.
Bilbo Bassaterra has explained in a twitter thread what his intention was, but he really only managed to cause the party’s security members to have a small shock that they resolved promptly. He himself stumbled by falling into the green, with which it was very easy to reduce him. Several of her classmates also tried to jump, but they didn’t even get all the way across to the front row.
In his words, it was a “nonviolent disruption between an angry mob and extreme security.”

“It’s not something we do for fun, it’s something we do because we need to stop normality before everything gets worse,” Bassaterra justifies in his explanatory thread.
The protest was an attempt to draw attention to subsidies to the livestock industry. “We are approaching climate scenarios where the chances of survival in our region are quite questionable. We talk about scenarios 3 or 4 degrees increase in average temperature of the Earth”, the activist recounts in the thread, who explains that he works in this sense so that his newborn daughter enjoys a better future.
He also claims that they hanged him and kneed him in the ribs.

Futuro Vegetal is one of the most active organizations in defense of the environment and fight against climate change on the Spanish scene, and in recent months they have been protagonists with similar incidents.
