The father hanged himself after strangling his son. The shocking incident happened in Nenmara Vithanassery. Balakrishnan (65) and his son Kannan Kutty (39) died. They were found dead by local residents on Friday morning. They were the only ones in the house. Police arrived at the scene. Inquest procedures completed.
Balakrishnan was taking care of his unmarried and severely diabetic son for some time. It is reported that he was killed after his son’s illness worsened. Balakrishnan’s wife had died years ago. Younger son Satish Kumar is a railway employee in Coimbatore. Daughter Shruti is married.
