Former Indian batsman Harbhajan Singh from Punjab has been hailed as one of India’s greatest off-spin bowlers in history. He became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in the history of Test cricket and was a member of the spin bowling team for India, which won the World Cups in 2007 and 2011. He has also played for teams like Mumbai and Chennai in the IPL and won championships.
However there was never a famine of controversy in his lifetime. Controversial controversy over Australia’s Andrew Simons as Australia’s monkey in international cricket has left a huge black mark in the history of Indian cricket. Similarly, when he played for Mumbai in the first season of the IPL, he slapped Sreesanth on the cheek and caused another controversy.

Sreesanth controversy:
Yes, everyone was shocked to see Sreesanth crying at the end of a match between Mumbai and Punjab. So when the Punjab team, including Punjab owner and Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, asked him what had happened, Harbhajan Singh cried and said that he had slapped himself on the cheek, causing great controversy. Because even Andrew Symonds is a foreigner and Sreesanth is a native.
The two have previously played together for the country at the 2007 T20 World Cup. But for some reason Harbhajan Singh’s outburst slapped him on the cheek, shocking fans and former players alike. So Harbhajan Singh, who was the captain in that particular match, was banned altogether for the rest of the IPL series so Shaun Pollock took over the captaincy of Mumbai.

Harbhajan regrets:
After that they praised the friendship without developing further enmity and became friends by playing together for India especially playing back in the 2011 World Cup. Fifteen years after that awful moment, Harbhajan Singh has admitted that he was at fault on that particular day. He also lamented that Sreesanth would not have been in that situation if he had been patient without rushing that day.
This is what he talked about in a recent interview. “It simply came to our notice then. I made a mistake. I had an embarrassment with a fellow player. I was ashamed of that. If I had made a mistake in my lifetime it would have treated Sreesanth like that on the field. It should not have happened that day. I feel unnecessary now when I think about it. ” However, Harbhajan Singh did not say anything about what happened that day or what went wrong.

Sreesanth, who also forgot about Harbhajan Singh’s slap on the cheek, is now friends with him. Sachin Tendulkar said that he helped him in the previous interview he gave in the following interview. “It simply came to our notice then. Thanks to Sachin Tendulkar for that. He reassured me that you both play for the same team. I agreed and went to see him in person, ate and talked. But the media has taken it a different angle. ”

“I am currently in a good relationship with Harbhajan Singh. He has changed a lot now. And he openly apologized to me in public, saying, “Sir, forgive me wherever you are.” In that sense he has always been like an older brother to me. He could have done that if he had wanted to at that particular moment. But he’s always been like a legend. ”
