Suresh Gopi says that at one point he decided not to do the film ‘Varan Avsayamundu’. On the first day of his shoot, director Anoop Sathyan called him and told him that Anoop’s words had changed his mind.
‘Nithin (Nithin Ranji Panicker) first approaches to do the second part of the auction. That was many years ago. I said that day, I can act if your father writes, and Joshi must agree. Nithin said he could fix that. Ranji has been writing ‘Auction 2’ since 2016. It would be fair to say that tearing is more than writing.
In 2018, Anoop Sathyan is coming up with a film. Loved hearing the story. Agreed to do it. The reason that the film stayed was because it took a year to give Shobhana a date. They could not travel to Kerala and had to shoot in Chennai. Meanwhile, Nithin returns with ‘Thampanu’. Thampan was the first to walk. But someone who said he would not allow this to happen came in between. His gesture went. At first that picture did not happen. It is during that time that ‘the groom is needed’ is done. ‘Thampan’ started during the release of this film.
Now I am not the one who is rejecting cinema. It happened in 2001. The time when I changed myself. There are many reasons for this. The main reason for that is the result of a movie that bothered my mind – the second look. I even wondered if it was a sign of whether I should act in a movie or not. Then a few years later Ranji called Panikkar and said we should do a movie. He said that my flux should come again. Ranji called two weeks later and said, let’s do the movie and Flux will come too. But you have to quit and smoke like you used to. If so, do it. The reply given to Ranji is not to be told to the natives. That is how ‘Bharatchandran IPS’ happens.
Anoop Sathyan’s insistence that ‘Varan Avsayandhu’ should be released on September 30. Decides to go to Chennai on the first date. My shoot starts on the second date. On the morning of the day I decided to go to the set in Chennai, a visitor came to my house. He said something and was so upset that he called Anoop and told him that he was not going to act in this movie. I was not even given an advance. I apologize if I caused you any inconvenience.
Then Anoop said, ‘I will not do this movie if Sir does not come. If it fails I will put its sin on top of the sir. I do not want Shobhana Madam’s date without Sir. This movie stops. ‘ Anoop’s words came to mind. There I came to wash. He looked the visitor in the face and said, ‘You go to your work, I would have done it.’ The next day I went to Chennai. Still no advance was given to me. After two days of shooting, he gave an advance of Rs 10,000 and informed Sir that he still has the same. Anoop gives me that money. That’s enough to complete the need for the groom.
There are still people who want me not to do movies. I still do not know who it is. Critics now say that if I die, everything will change. That day they will unravel the history and honesty of my good deeds. Then I can hear it all upstairs.
I did not help my son Gokul in the film in the slightest. Chance never asked anyone for him. I never even asked anyone for me. Only one Gokul movie was seen in the theater.
