In May of last year, the President of the Ukrainian Olympic Committee Gagik Tsarukyan signed a cooperation agreement in Yerevan with the President of Belarus, the President of the National Olympic Committee of that country, Alexander Lukashenko, who was hosted in Armenia. The parties agreed to send individual athletes and teams to Armenia and Belarus in the order of mutual visits, provided that the Olympic Committee of the host country will cover the expenses. And here the word turns into action.

As reported by the press department of the NAOC, the national ski team of Belarus will arrive in Armenia on January 26 and will hold a training camp in Tsakhkadzor. This, in fact, will be the last stage of preparation before the start of the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Tsaghkadzor’s oxygen-poor conditions will boost Belarus’ athletes to perform well on the sea-level, oxygen-rich Sochi tracks.

The National Olympic Committee of Armenia will welcome the guests and take them to the Olympic Games.

Let’s remind that in November of last year in Rome, the President of the National Olympic Committee Gagik Tsarukyan signed cooperation agreements with the presidents of the National Olympic Committees of six European countries.
