It can be seen at the Rambla headquarters until May 28.
The recovery of the forgotten legacy of Tosquelles he does not present himself based on what he has documented of the experiences in which he participated, but on what we lack. And not only as an exercise of individual memory, but also collective, because in his therapeutic and political actions, the psychiatrist practiced a collective use of cinema and amateur theater in the hospitals where he worked, promoted the ‘common writing and work on the self-managed printing press with the inmates, as well as the dances, the circus, parties and evenings, which involved the entire medical community, with psychiatrists, nuns, caretakers and villagers.
Despite following the chronological order of the psychiatrist’s life, this film written together with Joana Masó is located in a space that it is neither past, present nor future. Using the circulation of the word, he elaborates a story that continues, interrupts and at times performatives the writings and interviews of Tosquelles himself.
