The games Age Of Empires II and Age Of Empires IV will officially come to Xbox

by time news

As part of the 25th anniversary of the Age Of Empires game series, the development studio World’s Edge has announced that it will bring the beloved strategy game series to the Xbox consoles and mobile devices.

The first title expected to reach the Xbox consoles is Age Of Empires II Definitive Edition. This is an improved version of the real-time strategy game that first saw the light of day on the PC, offering improved graphics in 4K resolution, a soundtrack re-recorded by a live orchestra, improvements to the game’s artificial intelligence, one designed for consoles with a control scheme through a controller alongside the possibility of control through a keyboard and a mouse

Age Of Empires II Definitive Edition will reach the Xbox consoles on January 31, 2023 and later this year the company promises to also bring Age Of Empires IV, the fourth title in the series released in 2021. Both titles will be available for free download to Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Age Of Mythology renews

If that wasn’t enough, the company announced the innovation – Age Of Mythology Retold, the beloved title that added to the series – which until now has been historically faithful – a mythological ‘twist’ and it is possible to fight the various enemies and factions with gods from the ancient traditions. This is alongside a mobile title called Age Of Empires Mobile.
