The Gathering of Parties confirmed that the file of illegal immigrants in Libya is an internal Libyan matter regulated by national legislation, and the mission may not interfere in it and impose its guardianship over it.
He pointed out that the mission’s attempts to politicize the file of illegal immigrants in Libya are a malicious attempt aimed at distorting the security services responsible for managing this file.
The group’s statement called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior not to enable any organization, including the United Nations Mission in Libya, to visit shelter centers, because these visits are considered a violation of national sovereignty and a blatant interference in Libyan internal affairs.
The group also called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior to legalize the work of the mission’s offices, the mechanism for its movement within Libya, and the mechanism for its communication with Libyan government institutions in accordance with the recognized legal and diplomatic context.
