The GCC welcomes HM the King’s African Atlantic Initiative
Riyadh – The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, welcomed the African Atlantic initiative launched by HM King Mohammed VI for the benefit of the Sahel States.
The GCC States welcome the African Atlantic Initiative of HM King Mohammed VI which will strengthen cooperation between the States of the Sahel and those of the Atlantic coast, indicated Mr. Albudaiwi during the ministerial meeting held on Sunday in Riyadh, between the GCC States and the Kingdom of Morocco.
Mr. Albudaiwi insisted on this occasion on the importance of the strategic partnership linking Morocco and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and on the aspiration of the member states of the Council to further consolidate economic relations between the two parties.
This meeting, held in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita, and Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the GCC member countries, was the opportunity to strengthen the solid foundations of the strategic partnership linking the two parties, in accordance with the Vision of HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him, and his brother heads of state of the Gulf.
