Morocco strongly condemns the targeting of civilians who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid in Gaza
Riyadh – The Kingdom of Morocco, whose Sovereign, HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him, chairs the Al Quds Committee, strongly condemns and denounces the targeting, by Israeli forces, of Palestinian civilians who were waiting to receive humanitarian aid at Al-Rashid Avenue, in the north of the Gaza Strip, causing dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries, said Sunday in Riyadh, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita.
While emphasizing “its absolute rejection” of violations of international humanitarian law, the Kingdom of Morocco calls for “an independent and transparent investigation into this despicable act and to punish those who are responsible”, indicated Mr. Bourita during a meeting with foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Mr. Bourita also reiterated the urgent appeal of HM King Mohammed VI, may God preserve him, President of the Al-Quds Committee, to the international community to intervene urgently to achieve a cease-fire. immediate, lasting and comprehensive fire, ensure the smooth delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians and guarantee the protection of the Palestinian people.
