Robert and Carmen Geiss want to rejuvenate their biological cell age with a special anti-aging treatment. The TV stars provoked critical reactions.

Robert and Carmen Geiss have been married since 1994, and in 2011 the entrepreneurs started their television career with their own reality TV show called “The Geissens – A Terribly Glamorous Family”. The couple not only give insights into life with their two daughters on the show, but also on social media. There they now announced that they were carrying out a special rejuvenation treatment – and received a lot of criticism.

Carmen Geiss published a video on Instagram in which she and her 60-year-old husband are each on a drip and wearing respirators. “Today, after careful consideration and detailed advice, we had our first anti-aging treatment. Robert even got stem cells because we want to rejuvenate our biological cell age,” she explained. It was a “good decision” for the couple; the therapy took place in Thailand’s capital Bangkok. “So that I won’t need a filter for Instagram any more in the near future,” added the 58-year-old.

“Just accept your age”

The post elicited numerous reactions. In a survey that the influencers shared under their post, a clear majority did not approve of their decision. This is also reflected in the comment column. “Nothing makes you grow old like constantly trying to stay young,” wrote one user. “Just accept your age, that makes you really attractive! Don’t do this desperate fight for eternal youth, that seems rather sad,” is another comment. “What nonsense,” said another.

Some followers criticized the fact that there are people who urgently need stem cell donations to treat diseases but cannot get them. However, other users clarified that this is a different procedure: “These are not stem cells from a third-party donor, but the stem cells for the ‘rejuvenation treatments’ are taken from the body’s own abdominal fat, processed and administered again. Not to be confused with that Stem cell transplant for blood cancer. That’s something completely different,” emphasized one person.
