The General Prosecutor’s Office issued a message stating:
“On January 25, 2024, the anti-corruption court accepted the 98th claim regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin.
The General Prosecutor’s Office’s Department for Confiscation of Illegally Sourced Property presented a request to the court to confiscate 301 million 218 thousand drams in favor of the Republic of Armenia from the former Minister of Culture of the RA Hasmik Poghosyan and his related persons as the balance of illegal funds, which is the proceeds of the transformation of properties of illegal origin or amount resulting from use,
567 million 396 thousand drams, which is not justified by the legal income of the person, has an illegal origin and cannot be confiscated, because it was transferred to a bona fide acquirer and/or cannot be identified, 1 participation in legal entities, 3 million 331 thousand drams – the right to a claim arising from a loan, 4 million 863 thousand drams – the market value of the vehicle previously owned by the former minister.”
