But in competition as in competition, there are better and better. In the opinion of the judges and the audience last night, Maayan Adam demonstrated a more successful performance than Sandy Bar, and there is nothing to argue about taste and smell. To me, both are talented and impressive on the extension but each has its own style. Sandy has a softer style, a style that speaks more to the heart of David Dvir the austere judge, while Maayan Adam is endowed with a stormy and wild style that speaks more to the hearts of the other judges and the electorate.
At the same time, judging only by the level of performance, and not the personality or appearance, Sabri’s performance was no more successful than Sandy’s, while they chose to keep him in the competition, and oust her. With all the appreciation I have for Ural, and not just for the courage to perform, but for his humor and wonderful imitation talent, still, Sandy danced better than him, and so I could on the one hand understand the judges’ astonishment when the audience’s voting results became known. On the other hand, the astonishment, especially of Anna Aronov, was excessive, and not the most sympathetic.

After all, he does not have the ideal figure to squat on the dance floor, and dance coaches prefer them muscular and thin (although I have already met in my life some heavyweights who love to dance and are light and flexible on the dance floor despite their weight). What tipped the scales in Orel’s favor was the beautiful message he conveyed to young people, not to be ashamed of their bodies and to fulfill their dreams in every field, including the hobby of dancing. The truth is that in addition to the pleasure of watching “Dancing with the Stars” which is arguably a feast for the ears and eyes, the message that Ural conveyed to those young people is an important added value to the format, and only deserves applause, even if he did not perform his dance perfectly.
