Following a neighbor dispute on Aharon Zeitlin Street in Haifa, a 53-year-old man stabbed his 40-year-old neighbor with a huge sword. As a result of the stabbing, the victim was moderately injured and was referred for treatment at the Rambam medical clinic.
MDA’s 101 hotline in the Carmel area received a report today (Friday) of an injured person from a violent incident in the city. Medics and paramedics treated the injured person and evacuated him to the hospital with a penetrating injury and in moderate condition.
A senior medic riding a MDA motorcycle Itai Mazor: “The injured man was in the street while he was conscious and suffering from a penetrating injury. We gave him initial medical treatment that included dressing and stopping bleeding and evacuated him for further treatment in the hospital when his condition is moderate and stable.”
Haifa police officers who were called to the scene arrested the suspect for questioning at the police station in the city. The police intend to ask the Magistrate’s Court this evening to extend his detention.
