The Gonets-M1 communications satellite constellation will be launched into orbit before 2033

It is planned that by 2033 the Gonets-M1 communications satellite constellation, consisting of 28 devices, will be fully launched.

The first satellites will be in orbit by 2028. At least nine missile launches will be required to achieve this goal. The constellation will be used for data transmission and communications, as well as for navigation thanks to the installation of additional equipment on the satellites.

One of the satellites will be used to receive the navigation signal and transmit it to the ground to be taken into account in the calculation corrections for the Glonass signal. The project is at the design and construction stage.
