Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the government is implementing all programs to wipe out opposition parties including BNP.

He made this complaint in a statement signed by Munir Hossain, Assistant Secretary of BNP on Monday (April 8) afternoon.

Thakurgaon Haripur Upazila Jubodal Member Secretary Md. Mirza Fakhrul gave this statement to the media expressing strong condemnation, protest and shock over the death of Akram Hossain.

The statement claimed that on Sunday (April 7) night, Md. was brutally tortured in the custody of the police. Akram Hossain passed away.

In the statement, BNP Secretary General said, the killing of Akram Hossain proved once again that Awami League is a political party that is traditionally keen on killing. They have not only killed democracy, they are now selectively killing democracy-loving people. Leaving the country’s freedom-sovereignty and people unprotected, they are implementing a program to wipe out opposition parties including BNP. When famine is prevailing across the country, the dummy government has resorted to the blood holi game to divert the attention of the people.

He also said that the rule of law has been sent into exile to maintain Awami rule in the country. The safety of people’s life and property is now under extreme threat. Even in Ramadan, the month of fasting, the Awami ruling group is not backing down from the cruel act of bloodshed. However, the people are and will continue to protest on the streets until the illegitimate Awami government’s terrible misrule ends.

In a statement, Mirza Fakhrul urged the killers of Akram Hossain to be brought under the law.

He prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of Akram Hossain and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
