On December 1, at the regular session of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly, Rustam Badasyan, Chairman of the RA SRC, presented the bill “On Amendments and Additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia” for discussion in the first reading.
It was noted that in 2020 since January 1, the transfer pricing regulations defined by the Code have entered into force, but the relevant legal bases for carrying out the necessary tax administration are missing. The aim of the project is to align the already established regulations with international approaches, as well as to define the procedures for implementing tax control.
The SRC chairman also informed that after the first reading, new changes are planned in the bill.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee, Vahe Hakobyan, and the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Babken Tunyan, proposed to postpone the discussion of the issue, to which the main reporter agreed.
The discussion of the legislative initiative was postponed for up to 2 months.
