The changes in the prices of grain goods on the world stock markets during the past week are insignificant, according to the experts of the Sofia Commodity Exchange (SSE), BTA reports.
The FOB price of bread wheat in Chicago rose by $1 to $226 per ton, in France it fell by €1 to €198 per ton, in Ukraine wheat rose by $3 to $198 per ton, and in Russia it was unchanged – 235 dollars per ton.
Corn in the US rose by 2 dollars to 192 dollars per ton, in France it decreased by 1 euro to 185 euros per ton, in Russia this week it remained unchanged – at 180 dollars per ton.
The price of barley in Ukraine rose $2 to $172 a tonne for March-April delivery. Rapeseed on the Euronext exchange fell by 2 euros to 436 euros per ton.
Crude sunflower oil contracts on the Rotterdam bourse rose $20 to $975 a tonne, while refined sugar for May delivery fell $1.80 to $650.70 a tonne on the London bourse.
At the Sofia Commodity Exchange in the “Zarno” subdistrict, the quotations were mainly from the buyers’ side, except for bread wheat, which was offered at BGN 388 per ton, with delivery to the buyer (DAP), the exchange reports. Last week, wheat was offered to SSB at BGN 431 per ton, but again without interest from buyers who are not ready to pay more than BGN 300 per ton. Feed wheat was in demand from BGN 290 to BGN 290 per ton, feed barley was quoted for purchase at BGN 290 per ton, and “buy” offers for corn were at BGN 320 per ton from the spot. For oilseed sunflower, the interest in buying was from 720 to 730 BGN per ton.
Also this week, the prices of basic food products are stable at the same level as the initial prices, the stock exchange experts also report. Oil in bottles was sold at BGN 2.20 per liter.
Last week, there were deals for machine oil from BGN 6,400 to BGN 8,250/thousand liters, and hydraulic oil – at a price of BGN 9,900/thousand liters. There were also purchases of ferrous metal scrap in the range of BGN 160 – 210 per ton, aluminum scrap at BGN 1,400 per ton and lead scrap at BGN 950 per ton.
